How I learned coding
How it started and how it going ?
how I learn those things ? what brings me here ?
When I was 11 years old (in 2017), my father bought me a Dell brand laptop. Initially, I only knew how to open the Paint app, draw, and add colors. I was also clueless about saving my work or opening documents on a PC. A few months later, my mother enrolled me in a computer course where I learned Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Paint. As a result, I received a certificate of basic computer skills. By the way, I had forgotten to tell my father that I had an old Windows XP computer when I was around 4 or 5 years old. I used it occasionally, clicking around and using the Paint app. Haha, I don’t know much about it. My father used it for typing documents.
A few years after I started exploring YouTube (YouTube wasn’t popular in Sri Lanka at that time), I learned so quickly that I not only understood how to create folders, what IT and web were, and how to use apps, but I also learned Photoshop from a teacher who taught me Photoshop Illustrator. My interest in ICT began to grow.

Then first time I have curious about how to make a website , ha ha that was the turning point that was year 2019 ...
I searched about it on Youtube , and I also created youtube channel for fun and I uploaded videos there for myself ha ha don't watch this videos it's embarrassing
Then, I learned HTML and created a website using it. However, I didn’t stop there. I delved deeper into the fundamentals of HTML and spent two years learning it thoroughly. After that, I learned CSS and experimented with various web creation applications like Wix, WordPress, and Blogger.
I then created my first website using Wix, www.ranjansgroup.com, for my uncle. I earned around 8000 LKR from that project. At the same time, I also began learning a bit about JavaScript. However, I had no knowledge of backend development at that time. I learned and gained experience for over three years, from 2020 to 2023. In this time period I bought MacBook air 2020
Another turning point in my life was taking the web design course offered by the Open University or Moratuwa. During that time, I made many good friends. I also learned about JavaScript, GitHub, Vercel, Firebase, and how backend hosting and domains work. I created a website for my dad, www.combinedmaths.org.
Before that, I had tried to create my own website, but I still don’t have one. In 2024, I delved deeper into databases, Firebase, and PHP.
In this time Chat GPT is trending in Sri Lanka I also started to used that , I got lot of helps there I started new era of my life in 2024 ,
